by choosing the Preferences option from the Edit menu and adjusting the settings for Button Bar Style from the Browser Display section to use Text Only rather than Icon and Text or Icon Only.
using the appropriate commands from the View menu to turn off the Address Bar, the Status Bar, the Favories Bar and the Explorer Bar. You could also choose to turn off the Button Bar since all the commands on it can be accessed from the main Menubar or with a long click on the main display.
